This is Mattingly Rose Cahill one of twin girls born on February 16, 2011 with Congenital Heart Defects.
Mattingly will be 4 February.
Mattingly was born with non-compaction cardiomyopathy and mitral valve regurgitation. So far Mattingly has been very healthy despite her heart defects. Her cardiologist has not seen any of her symptoms get worse over the course of the three years and despite the cardiomyopathy her heart function falls in the normal range. She is currently being monitored on a yearly basis with Stonybrook Children’s Cardiology Department. Mattingly is very active and loves to run, climb, and play with her sister and older brother Patrick. Mattingly was very excited to receive clearance for a Spring Break Soccer Camp this year. She loves Frozen and singing along to the songs. We are so proud of Matty and her craziness. She defines “beating the odds “. She is a miracle and the baby of our family and we love her to pieces.
